THE 7th SUPPLICATION
The supplication: “O Allah! Give us productive and plentiful rain, useful and not harmful, instant and not delayed.” [Reported by Ibn Majah]

Proof of acceptance: We quote from Ibn Majah’s authentic hadith that Ibn Abbas (may Allåh be pleased with them) narrated: “one of the Bedouins there came to the Prophet and said “O Allah’s Messenger! I came to you therefrom a so tried community (people) that theirs are neither grazed nor even their tails swing (because of hunger). The Prophet then ascended the pulpit. After praising Allah, the Prophet invoked: “O Allah! Give us productive and plentiful rain, useful and not harmful, instant and not delayed,” Then he descended Soon afterwards, none comes to the Prophet from whatever place it is, but to say: “We are indeed revived with rain.”
