THE 4th SUPPLICATION
THE MESSENGER’S SUPPLICATION FOR FORGIVENESS
The supplication: “O, Allah! Forgive me my fault, my ignorance, my immoderation in my concerns. And You are better aware (of my affairs) than myself. O Allah! Grant me forgiveness (of the faults which I committed) seriously or otherwise {and which I committed) inadvertently and deliberately. All these (failings) that are in me. O Allah! Grant me forgiveness from the faults which I did in haste or deferred, which I committed in privacy or in public, and You are better aware of (them) than myself. You are the First and the Last and over all things You are Omnipotent. [reported by Bukhari]: by Muhammad
Proof Of acceptance: Allah, the Exalted says: {Verily, We’ve given you (O Muhammad) a manifest victory. That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His favour on you, and guides you on the Straight path} [al- Fatiha]
Narrated Abu-Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with Him) that the Messenger of Allah used to pray until his feet got swollen; and it was said to him: “Allah has forgiven you your sins of the past and that of the future.” He said: “Shouldn’t I be a thankful slave. ” [reported by Ibn-Majah]
