THE 29th SUPPLICATION
THE SUPPLICATION OF IBRAHIM FOR MAKKAH
The Supplication: [My Lord! Make this land (Makkah) secured and provide its people with fruits, such as believe in Allah and the Last day.] Al-Baqarah from verse 126
Proof Of acceptance: Allah, the Exalted Says; [and (remember) when We made the house (the Kaa’bah at Makkah) a place of resort for mankind and a place of safety.] Al- Qasas from verse 125
And Allah, the Exalted says: [have We not established for them a secure sanctuary (Makkah), to which brought fruits of all kinds, a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.] Al-Qasas from verse 57
And Allah the Exalted be says: [Have they not seen that We have made (Makkah) a secure sanctuary, while men are snatched away from all around them?] Al-Ankabut from verse 67
In this last verse; reproaching Quraish, Allah, the Exalted reminds them Of His Graces that He bestowed thereupon them; as He inhabited them in His Shrine {Makkah) which He made it open to both the dweller in it or the visitor, and that whoever enters it, is then secure, Thus, the tribe of Quraish (to which Allah’s Messenger, Muhammad Belonged) enjoyed such safety, while the Bedouins around Quraish Were looting and killing one another.
It is these days that we see with our own eyes how Allah has accepted Ibrahim’s supplication for Makkah; as the dwellers of both Makkah and its outskirts enjoy such unmatched security and safety,
