THE 25th SUPPLICATION
Allah’s messenger’s supplication for ukasha bin mohsin (may allah be pleased with him)
The Supplication: “O Allah! Let him be amongst them.” [As-Shaekhan].
Proof of acceptance: Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet % said; “Nations were displayed to me. One prophet would pass by along with a nation of followers, A Prophet would pass accompanied by a small band of followers. A Prophet would pass by accompanied by five followers. A Prophet would pass by accompanied by nobody. Then a big crowd of people passed in front of me and I asked: “O Gebriel! Are they my followers?” Gebriel said: “No.” Gabriel said to me: “Look at the horizon.” Behold! There were a multitude of people, Gabriel said: “This is your nation led by seventy thousand of them who will enter Paradise without reckoning, The Prophet asked why they enter Paradise without reckoning. Gebriel answered They are the people who don’t treat themselves with ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.), nor do they get themselves branded (cauterized), but they put their trust. (only) in their Lord. On that Ukasha Ibn Muhsin said; “Am I one of them, O Messenger?” The Prophet said: “Yes,” Then another person stood up and said: “Am I one of them?” The Prophet said: “Ukasha has anticipated you Narration transmitted by Muslim, Ukasha stood and said; “Invoke Allah to let me be one of them.” Allah’s Messenger said: are one of them.” [Muslim]
