THE 20th SUPPLICATION
HIS SUPPLICATION FOR DAWS: THE PEOPLE OF AL-TAFEAL BIN AMRO (MAY ALLAH BE PLEASED WITH HIM)
The Supplication: “O Allah! Guide Daws rightly and bring them all.” [reported by Al-Bukhari]
Proof Of acceptance: Ibn Qaem Al-Gawzeah (may Allah rest his soul) reported from what Ibn Eshaq narrated: “When Al-Tafael Ibn Amro Al-Dawsi (may Allah be pleased with him) embraced Islam and called his people to Islam, they denied him his call, He added: came to Allah’s Messenger and said; “O Allah’s Messenger! Daws are engrossed wholly in adultery that they refused Islam. So invoke evil upon them: The Prophet invoked; “O Allah! Guide Daws rightly,” Then Allah’s Messenger said: “Go back to your people and call them to Allah and be kind to them, T returned to them, I kept there calling them to embrace Islam. Then, I reached Al-Madinah accompanied by the household of seventy or eighty of Daws- We joined Allah’s Messenger who was still there in Khaebar where Allah’s Messenger granted us our shares of the war booty.”
