THE 17th SUPPLICATION
ALLAH’S MESSENGER’S SUPPLICATION FOR JARIR BIN ABDULLAH (MAY ALLAH BE PLEASED WITH HIM)
The Supplication: “O Allah! Let him be steady, a guide and rightly guided.” [reported by Muslim]
Proof of acceptance: Narrated Jarir bin Abdullah Al-Bagly (May Allah be pleased with him) that Allah’s Messenger said,” “O Jarir! Should you relieve me of Zee Al-Kholasa?” (A building that belonged to Khotham (a tribe Yemen), and it was called the Yemeni Kaa’ba). Jarir added: “I marched forth in the company of a hundred and fifty cavaliers. told Allah’s Messenger about my being unsteady on the horse’s back, The Messenger of Allah’s struck my Chest With his hand and said: Let him be steady, a guide and rightly-guided.” Jarir said: “We marched forth and ignited it. Then, he sent a man named Aha-Arta’h to Allah’s messenger to tell him the good news. Aba-Arta’h told Allah’s Messenger that they left it only When it became like a scabby camel, Then Allah’s Messenger invoked five times for the blessing of the men of Ahmus (the tribe to which Jarir bin Abdullah belonged) and its horses.
