THE 12th SUPPLICATION
THE MESSENGER’S FOR SUPPLICATION ABU-HURRAIRAH’S MOTHER (MAY ALLAH BE PLEASED WITH THEM)
The supplication: “O Allah! Guide Abu-Hurairah’s mother.”
Proof of acceptance: Narrated Abi Katheer Yazeed bin Abdul Rahman on the authority of Abu-Hurairah who said; “When my mother a disbeliever, I used to ask her to Islam, One day I appealed to her to embrace Islam, but she vituperated all what I hate about Allah’s Messenger I hastened to Allah’s Messenger weeping and said; “O Allah’s Messenger! I used to my mother to embrace Islam, but She used to refuse; and I called upon her to embrace Islam today, but she uttered what I hated about you. Invoke Allah for her,” Allah’s Messenger said: “O Allah! Guide Abu-Hurairah’s mother,” Rejoiced at the invocation of Allah’s Prophet to my mother, I hastened to her. When I approached the door, I found it ajar. When my mother heard my feet’s rustling, she said: “keep in your place Abu-Hurairah.” I heard the washing water jolt. He said: “She washed and put on her wrapper and veil. She opened the door and said: “O Abu-Hurairah! I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, “
