PART 2 : DUA FOR FORGIVENESS AND MERCY
1. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness:
“We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).”
(Qur’an 2:285)
2. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness and Mercy:
“Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us;
Our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.
Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us.
You are our Maula (Protector, Supporter, Patron), and help us against the disbelieving people.”
(Qur’an 2:286)
3. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness:
“Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire.”
(Qur’an 3:16)
4. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness and Firmness:
“Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), make our steps firm, and help us against the disbelieving
people.”
(Qur’an 3:147)
5. Dua of Adam (a.s) for Forgiveness and Mercy:
“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.”
(Qur’an 7:23)
6. Dua of Nuh (a.s) seeking Refuge:
“My Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers.”
(Qur’an 11:47)
7. Dua of the Believers of the Cave:
“Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!”
(Qur’an 18:10)
8. Dua of Yunus (a.s) in the Belly of the Whale:
“None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) are You. Truly, I have been of the Zalimun (wrong-doers).”
(Qur’an 21:87)
9. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness and Mercy:
“Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!”
(Qur’an 23:109)
10. Dua of the Angels:
“Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire!”
(Qur’an 40:7)
11. Dua of Musa (a.s) for Forgiveness:
“My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me.”
(Qur’an 28:16)
12. Dua of the Believers for Forgiveness and Mercy:
“Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have believed. Our Lord!
You are indeed full of Kindness, Most Merciful.”
(Qur’an 59:10)
