7.3. A DREAM COMES TRUE
Juwayriyah once dreamt that she became the wife of Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) and she hoped that this would come true. Al-Bayhaqi narrated that Juwayriyah said, “Three nights before the battle, I dreamt that the moon appeared from the direction of Yathrib (Madinah) and fell into my lap, but I decided not to tell anyone about it until Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) arrived. When we were captured, I hoped the dream to come true. There, the Prophet (peace be upon him) set me free and then marriedme.”
The dream of Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her), came true as she married the Luminous Light; Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and she was very fortunate to be honored by being one of the Mothers of the Believers. Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to recall the happy moment when the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to her, “…and marry you.” It was so kind of the Prophet to pay on her behalf, to set her free, and to marry her. Juwayriyah (may Allah be pleased with her) was really a blessed lady among her tribe and her marriage was another blessing for all of them for it resulted in their embracing Islam. Juwayriyah got married to the Prophet when she was twenty years old. She (may Allah be pleased with him) (peace he upon him) married me when I was 20 years of age.” Then Juwayriyah (may be pleased with entered her) entered her matrimonial home where an apartment was built for her besides that of her sisters (The Mothers of the Believers) i.e. the Prophet’s wives.
